This Faux Bois Metal Safe, Belgium is in Excellent Overall Condition,c.1880. Featuring a plaque stating Ribeauville /Bruxelles /Anvers. The Ribeauville safe company was founded 1870 in Brussels, Belgium and were suppliers to the Belgian Administration, including their colonies. The faux bois finish continues to the reverse side of the door and the two interior cabinet doors. The door locks with a two-sided key (2 duplicate keys provided)and each interior cabinet door has a unique key. Ribeauville is a town in the Alsace region of Northeastern France, while Brussels and Antwerp represent both the Brussels (capital) and Flanders regions of Belgium. With 5 keys total. This Handsome Black Painted Riveted Iron Safe is in Excellent Overall Condition,c.1900. Featuring a unique removable pediment and a fully functional four button alpha combination lock in silver with gold accents and one keyhole. The interior painted a pale yellow with two adjustable metal shelves, raised on wooden bun feet in front and bracket feet in back. Fully restored and with 1 key. Written instructions for opening the safe and additional information about the safe’s unique features will be provided to the purchaser. Weight estimated at 100 lbs.
