This Petite Silver and Brass Converted Oil Lamp is in Excellent Overall Condition, c. late 19th century. Once an oil-burning lamp, it has recently been converted to electricity with a three-way switch added. The silver vessel is decorated with foliate designs, butterflies and hummingbirds topped by fluting, all on a raised base. The upper section of the lamp is brass and features a pattern of stylized palmettes just below the burner. With a 12” eggshell colored smocked silk shade. This Louis XIV Style Oak Fauteuil is in Excellent Overall Condition, c1870. Upholstered in tapestry with a double row of large steel finished nailheads. A square upholstered back supporting arms with acanthus ornament at the elbow, and ending in scrolled acanthus leaves circling a blooming flower. The whole raised on hairy lion paw feet attached to a turned “H”-form stretcher. The ornamental front stretcher is carved with a foliate design at the center,flanked by scrolling acanthus leaves. Measuring 27”D x 26 1/2”W x 43 3/4”H Seat height: 16” and Arm height 25”, serious inquiries are welcome!
