This Pair of French Barbotine Vases, c. late 19th century are in excellent condition,c1880. Featuring Earthenware with a distinctive brown glaze and applied blooming irises and butterflies. With some chips and cracking, normal for ceramics of this age, and an interior that boasts a luminescent blue glaze. This pair of vases are more elegant in their decoration than much Barbotine produced in France during the last quarter of the 19th century.
