She focuses on the interplay of light and shadow while boldly using an array of color to keep the spontaneity that defines impressionism. The American landscape is Mrs. Shepard-Bain’s palette. Whether it is a flower-filled garden, a quiet homestead or a blossoming field, the eyes are showered with a bounty of color when viewing her paintings. Born in 1936, Mrs. Shepard-Bain’s education includes studies in the Fine Arts at Kilgore College and the University of Texas at Arlington. Her paintings hang in many private and corporate collections.
